Inside Story received the honor of winning the first ever Zuku Awards for Best African Film and Best Actor at the 15^th annual Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF). The exciting new awards category recognizes the best film created by African Directors, in an African Location with African Actors and Actresses.

"We are very excited to introduce the new Zuku Awards to the Zanzibar International Film Festival,” said Wangeci Murage at the Awards Ceremony. “We aim to grow this award to one of the most prestigious Film Festival Awards in Africa."
